TrashDay publishes municipal collection information. You do not need an account to browse it.

Searches and collection lookups

Search terms, selected cities, and any street or address entered into a lookup are sent to our server to produce the result. Request URLs may appear in the hosting provider's access logs. Do not enter sensitive personal information into the search field. We configure analytics so that typed lookup text is not included in the Google Analytics address for the lookup page; Google may still record that the lookup page itself was visited.

Hosting and security logs

The hosting service may record request information such as IP address, requested URL, browser information, and time. These records are used to operate and protect the website. The application does not create user accounts or a database of visitors' submitted addresses.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

This site measures usage with Google Analytics 4, operated by Google. It records page views, approximate region derived from your IP address, and device/browser type.

In the EEA, UK and Switzerland measurement runs in Google's cookieless mode by default: no analytics cookies are set on your device, but Google still receives the measurement request (which includes your IP address, from which approximate location is derived). Elsewhere, analytics cookies (such as _ga) may be set to tell repeat visits apart. Google retains our analytics event data for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months, per our Google Analytics settings.

There is currently no cookie banner or opt-out interface for analytics. We are preparing one through Google's certified consent manager; until it is live, this section describes the defaults described above. This page describes current behaviour; it is not a legal certification.

Advertising and cookies

We plan to support the site with Google AdSense advertising. No advertising tags, ad cookies, or ads are active on the site today. When advertising goes live, third-party vendors including Google would use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and — for visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland — a Google-certified consent manager would ask for your choice before advertising cookies are set (accept, reject, or decide per purpose). The "Cookie settings" link in the footer is present but inactive until that system exists.

You may opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, and learn about Google's use of information from partner sites.

Links to city websites, haulers, maps, and other sources lead to independent services with their own privacy practices.
